• Affiliate Members of the Key West Innkeepers Association (KWIA) receive more referrals from our innkeepers than non-affiliates, and the KWIA gives Affiliates the tools that they need to promote their products and services to innkeepers and their staff.

• Internal Affiliate Directory Affiliate Members are listed on a directory that is regularly updated and distributed to all KWIA inns, and is used as a resource by front desk staff and innkeepers to make referrals to their guests.

• Weekly Newsletter Every week, all KWIA inns and Affiliates receive our email newsletter. Affiliates are able to post articles, press releases, announcements and advertisements for no charge. We often run ads for referrals from Affiliates that are holding special events, as well as from suppliers who want to reach out to the inns with their products and services.

• KWIA Internal Membership Directory Affiliates receive, upon request, paper or digital copies of our internal KWIA Membership Directory. It is a great resource for Affiliates who want to market to the inns on their own, and provides detailed contact information for each inn.

• Monthly Networking Social Our monthly social is an opportunity for Affiliates to network with the innkeepers and their staff. The socials are members-only, and feature great prizes and opportunities to showcase your business.

• keywestinns.com Affiliate Members receive their own page on our premier website targeting people who are interested in visiting Key West. Everyday, approximately 1,000 unique visitors go to keywestinns.com.

• Free Rack Card Space Free rack card distribution at our office located at 316A Simonton Street.

• KWIA Member Directory Affiliate Members receive a free listing in the KWIA Member Directory, thousands of copies of which are distributed around the world at trade shows, at events, and at the KWIA Information Center in our office at 316A Simonton.

• Holiday Historic Inn Tour The KWIA coordinates the the Holiday Historic Inn Tour, which is a great way for Affiliates to promote their business through sponsorship or participation. We are now working with Studios of Key West and Nutcracker Key West to promote this event, which is advertised throughout Florida.

• Affiliate Lodging Member Definition:
  Any person, firm or business owning, managing or operating a lodging establishment, not otherwise eligible for the position of Innkeeper Member, shall be eligible to apply for membership as an Affiliate Lodging Member. Such member must complete the application, provide proof of appropriate licensing compliance and make payment of applicable fees. Such Affiliate Lodging members are eligible to receive bookings from the Innkeepers Reservations Service at the standard 10% fee and are otherwise entitled to all the rights and privileges accorded all other Affiliate Members.

Note: Memberships are annual, non-refundable, and non-transferable.

Definition and Requirements:

Any person, firm or small business corporation, who is affiliated with the innkeeping business in some manner, shall be eligible to apply for membership as an affiliate member. Affiliate members shall be entitled to all the same rights and privileges of an Innkeeper member, except the right to vote. An affiliate member may be appointed as an assistant officer.

The business must be licensed, professionally run, and abide with the Key West Innkeepers Association Code of Ethics:

1. We acknowledge ethics and morality as inseparable elements of doing business and will test every decision against the highest standards of honesty, legality, and fairness.

2. We will conduct personally and collectively at all times as to bring credit to the service and tourism industry at large.

3. We will concentrate our time, energy, and resources on the improvement of our own product and services and we will not denigrate our competition in the pursuit of our own success.

4. We will treat all guests equally regardless of race, religion, nationality, age, creed, sex, or sexual orientation.

5. We will deliver standards of service with total consistency to every guest.

6. We will provide a safe and sanitary environment at all times for every guest and employee.

7. We will strive constantly in words, actions, and deeds to develop and maintain the highest level of trust, honesty, and understanding among guests, clients, employees, employers, and the public at large.

8. We will actively and consciously work to protect and preserve our natural environment and natural resources in all we do.

Affiliate Membership Fees Include:

Non-voting membership, one line listing in the Members Directory, listing with logo or picture on www.keywestinns.com, opportunity to display services or products at specific meetings throughout the year, brochure placement in the KWIA lobby and distribution to member inns, and Certificate of Membership.
